Tussah: 100% tussah silk; 200m/218yds; 100g/3.5oz

Suggested Needle Size/Gauge: 4mm/US 6; 20 stitches/4" - Remember: Like all silks, Tussah will stretch during blocking. So when you swatch for gauge, your process must be to knit, wash, block, dry, and only then, count. [I didn't do this once - Bob now has a beautiful oversize silk sweatshirt where I had intended a sweater for myself . . .]

We think that Tussah is at the cutting edge of fiber design - this yarn is so different in appearance that it's very hard to look away, once you've seen it. The uneven spin sends back color and texture that dips in and out of both form and hue. Before you touch it, you eye will tell you to expect some "crunch" to this silk - once your hand carresses it, though, you discover that it is softer than soft, no crunch at all. And drape-y. Very, very drapey. Wherever your imagination leads you, Tussah will follow ~ it will be like bringing a fairy tale to life.
