*****

One day Kathryn Thomas, founder and yarn master of Fleece Artist and Hand Maiden, was going quietly about the business of producing phenomenal color for amazing yarns when the phone rang. A mill was calling, wanting to know if she would be interested in a small shipment of some silk they didn't make anymore and had lying about. When they sent the sample and offered her a delightful discount, the deal was done, and Samira was born. And what a yarn it is, at a price that is so far below its quality and beauty as to be almost unbelievable.

The easiest way to convey what you need to know about Samira is to tell you the absolute truth: Samira is as close to being an identical twin of Silken as it is possible for a yarn that is not Silken to be. Its weight is identical, its beauty is as stunning, it is as soft and smooth, and it is spun just as perfectly. There may be an undetectable-to-my-eye-and-hand difference, but that's just what it is: undetectable.

So, the bottom line is that anything you can do with Silken, you can also do with Samira, but gram for gram you'll save more than 25% over what you would have to spend for the same amount of Silken. And isn't that just too lovely for words?

Glorious lace just got even better!
