What a genuine treasure this yarn is! A tribute to the spinner's hands and creativity, and to the shepherds' care of their flock. The fiber quality is amazing (and did you notice that it has taken the dye as if it were silk -- we've never seen such vibrancy of color in cashmere before) - it's soft like down and long-staple. This is unquestionably premium grade cashmere. Then, there's the spinning and plying - purposefully, delightfully and wonderfully spun for texture. The fact that each ply is different at almost every point makes for a yarn that you can hardly stop gazing at (I can vouch for the fact that it's getting in the way of writing this - why write when I can touch and look?).

Then, there's the fact that Hand Maiden had only 60 skeins to offer and we have them all here. The phrase "limited edition" really pales before the reality of these ultra-short-supply jewels. They are truly rare works of art that will knit into something beautiful and precious.
