Classic aran weight yarn never had it so good! Aran Alpaca is one of the richest ways to knit a sweater or blanket. It is also one of the highest quality alpaca blends we've seen: the alpaca fibers are 6-7" long, and so far I have not spotted even a single guard hair. The wool contributes a soft springiness that we all love about wool. In short, Aran Alpaca is a brilliant blend of some very outstanding fibers.
The fact that it feels smooth, soft, and inviting is not to be missed, of course. You'll love each stitch that travels your needles, and then you'll love the way the alpaca lends it's warmth and weight to create a fabric that drapes with lovely grace. The addition of alpaca also means that the colors travel deep into the fiber, but retain a unique vibrancy that I've seen with no other fiber. Plus, it felts like a dream.
