Woolie Silk 2-ply: 65% Wool, 35% Silk; 400m/437.4yds; 100g/3.53oz

Suggested Needle Size/Gauge: 2.5mm/US 1 needle; 28st/4inches (or thereabouts)

Hand wash with a smile - the wool and silk will repay your kindness with unmatched warmth and strength. From drawing the water in the sink to hanging it on the towel rack takes about 3 minutes with Kookaburra Woolwash.

The minute we saw our first skein of Woolie Silk 2-ply, we knew we had found the sock yarn of our dreams. Superwash wool is convenient and warm, but untreated wool has a nurturing warmth all its own. And, it wicks moisture away as no other fiber does! Once wool has been superwashed, it loses some of its capacity to absorb moisture. Then, there's the silk. The silk content renders this yarn super strong, to wear and wear and wear. No need for nylon here.
