I have, indeed, been comparing a skein of Koigu with Fleece Artist's Basic Merino Socks Kit. I am unable to detect any difference in yarn quality, spin, or size. The only visible difference is in the way colors are laid on -- Koigu's colors are a delightful, fast dance. Fleece Artist's technique brings unexpected combinations of color together in a way that allows them to flow, converse, meander, blend, harmonize and ultimately love each other.
