Lu is one of the best "knitting inventions" ever. I actually got to wear the top in the photo when Kathryn Thomas (founder of Fleece Artist) and Jana Dempsey (Kathryn's daughter and the Maiden behind Hand Maiden) came to visit, and I can tell you it is fun and fabulous. It fits even my mid-50s body like a dream and takes on any shaping you want.

The knitting is a sweet journey, too. Using Turkish Stitch and cleverly placed short rows, this single piece (start at the bottom, work your way up) flies off the needles and emerges as your new favorite top. What could be better?
