Suggested needle size: US4/3.5mm circular needles plus sets of US 3/3.25mm and US 4/3.5mm dpns for the beginning (or 2 circulars of each size). This shawl is begun in the round and then worked from side to side.
Gauge: 24st = 4" in stockinette stitch on US 4. Note: Every knitter's gauge is different, so you may need different size needles to achieve the gauge. Gauge is not important for this shawl, but a looser gauge will result in the use of more yardage.

Lisianthus is the botanical name for the family of flowers that we call Texas Bluebells or Prairie Gentian, among others. In folklore, they are symbols of charisma and congeniality, exactly what our hearts experience with the first warming days of spring. Romi has captured this expanding, uplifting feeling majestically, with an exuberance of flowers, buds and leaves that transport us into a vernal world of wonder. Lisianthus is a work of art, and when we first saw it, our immediate thought was "Lace Silk," a fiber truly worthy of Romi's gifted design
