Basketsful of BFL Aran came through our door and onto our shelves this morning. See our once-again-abundant supply here.

NEW! Sivia Harding's Twining Vines Afghan in Fleece Artist Blue Face Leicester DK - 6/12/08
Isn't this a beautiful blanket? Sivia designed it as a group project memorial for a beloved member of the West Coast Knitters' Guild. Discover the exciting transformation that Fleece Artist colors create when knit in beautiful textures. We've included some inspiring examples knit by Kristopher J. , one of our intrepid customers (see the bottom of the kit page), for those of you who may be skeptical about combining texture and handpainted colors. The knitting adventure begins here.
Fleece Artist Suri Blue - 6/12/08
Suri Blue is one of the best fibers available and it's very modest price makes it also a bargain (more quality for your dollar and great yardage, too). Now there are even more colorways to choose from, here.
And, just imagine what this means for these two kits of amazing lace:
Fleece Artist Woolie Silk 3-ply - 6/12/08

NEW! Ilga Leja's Sea Urchin in Fleece Artist Merino 2/6 - 6/11/08
Another perfect-for-summer lacey little thing to toss on and go, in beautiful style! Named after one of the most decorative creatures to be found along ocean shorelines, Ilga's newest top features undulating side-to-side construction that is anchored by a slimming border which you pick up and knit to whatever length suites you best. The fact that it is also in Fleece Artist's beloved Merino 2/6 makes it just that much better! See it here.
First, Thank You!! - 6/10/08
Bob and I would like to thank all of you! Your enthusiastic support of our work was exceeded only by your generous outpouring of warm thoughts and good wishes for our vacation. Really, you all made our vacation possible, you made it fun and relaxing, and you warmed our hearts so much that we returned refreshed and renewed. "Thank you" just barely covers the amount of warmth and gratitude we send your way.
Then, we caught up with shipping your orders only on Friday the 6th, so I haven't actually had a chance to download the last photos and share the last bit of our trip with you. Watch for them tomorrow or the next day. In the meantime, we did actually manage to get back to the business at hand and post some new things, so do enjoy!
NEW! addi Lace Needles in 60" lengths - 6/10/08
Addi has now added 60" lengths to their Lace Needle offerings. For those of you who love those big, lacey wonders, this will be a very welome addition indeed. You'll find them with the rest, right here.
Fleece Artist BFL 2/8 - 6/10/08
A bit more BFL 2/8 has arrived - including Gold, a new colorway for us. For those of you eager to get your Tempest sweater going, please know that there is more BFL 2/8 on the way and what isn't in that shipment (a lot, actually) will be arriving sometime in early July. Fleece Artist is standing on the dock in Halifax, hoping their container of BFL is on each ship that sails into port, as their stores of BFL have also been carried away upon a Tempest that is the very best sort of knitting storm. See the colors, new and old here.
Fleece Artist Ottawa - 6/10/08
Colorways new and delicious were also awaiting our return. See all the yarn offerings here, and these kits with new choices:
Join us on our vacation! May22-June 1, 2008
It's now May 29 - this evening at about 5:30 we are getting on the Westbound California Zephyr and heading home. If our trip out is any indication, there will be no internet connections available until we get home. We'll post whatever we feel is worth sharing after we're back. [Hint: my plans for the return trip revolve around knitting.]
We'll change the above photo everytime we upload new entries. Click here to see the current news from Bob & Nancy's Great Train Trip. Thanks for your patience!
