BFL 2/8: 100% Blue Face Leicester Wool in Colorsong's Fashion Colors by Fleece Artist; 500m/546yds; 125g/4.4oz

Rosemary Hill's complete 6-page pattern as a pdf download, including line-by-line and charted instructions and full color photos.

Finished measurements: approx. 56" wide by 23" deep after blocking.

Suggested needle size: US6/4mm and US8/5mm needles, circular or straight.

Gauge: 14st = 4" in garter stitch with US 6. Note: Every knitter's gauge is different, so you may need different size needles to achieve the gauge. Gauge is not important for this shawl, but a looser gauge will result in the use of more yardage.

Brandywine is pretty much the perfect shawl for Fleece Artist's beloved BFL 2/8. There's all the garter stitch which seems to enhance BFL 2/8's natural spring and softness. Then, there's Rosemary's beautiful lace border, elegant, but with lines that are far from fussy. Again, perfect for the honest goodness that is BFL 2/8. We think that the marriage of Brandywine with BFL 2/8 is sheer knitter's heaven, and as the story goes, likely to live together happily ever after.
